Where to eat when arriving by boat: beach clubs and restaurants in Mallorca

Part of what makes a charter day in Mallorca special isn't just the sea, but pairing it with a good meal along the coast, arriving by tender directly from your anchored boat. Here's what kind of venues work best, and how to plan it ahead of time.

Beach clubs with nearby anchorage in Palma Bay

The Illetes and Portals area is home to several internationally known beach clubs, with common anchoring spots right off their beaches where it's normal to see boats moored while guests arrive by tender. They typically combine Mediterranean cuisine, a relaxed daytime atmosphere and live music in the afternoon.

In high season, it's worth booking a table in advance, especially for lunch between 2pm and 4pm, the busiest window.

Beachside chiringuitos and restaurants

In ports such as Porto Cristo or Port Adriano you'll find more casual, family-friendly options, perfect for a simple fish or paella lunch without the production of a beach club. They usually have easy access from the water and less need to book outside of August.

How we organise it at Blue Mediterranean

Our concierge service can arrange the booking at the restaurant or beach club of your choice and coordinate the timing with your sailing route, so the skipper can plan accordingly and you have nothing to worry about but enjoying the day.

If you'd rather stay on board, we can also arrange gourmet catering served directly on the boat, with no need to go ashore at all.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to book the restaurant in advance?+

In high season (July-August), yes — especially for lunch. Our concierge team can take care of the booking for you.

How do you get from the anchored boat to the shore?+

By tender (the boat's auxiliary dinghy), or by swimming if the distance is short and conditions allow. The skipper will advise on the best option depending on the day's anchorage.

Can you arrange catering on board instead of going to a restaurant?+

Yes — it's one of our most requested options: Mediterranean cuisine served directly on the boat, with no need to stop ashore.
